Create a dedicated activity type in Loxo

To track LinkedIn messages correctly, you'll need a specific activity type in Loxo. This keeps your data organised and searchable.

Step 1 Go to Workflow Settings. In Loxo, head to Settings › Workflow – this is where you manage activity types and triggers. Step 2 Create a new trigger for an activity type like "Talentalk Messages" (or anything you like). Talentalk uses this to know where to file your LinkedIn messages.

Get your Loxo API token

Talentalk needs access to your Loxo account. Go to Settings › API Keys in Loxo, then click "Add" in the top-right corner of the page.

This generates a new API token. Copy it – you'll need it shortly.

Get your Loxo agency slug

To access your account properly, Loxo also needs your agency slug.

Click your icon at the bottom-left of your Loxo interface, then click the "Careers Page" link at the top (even if you don't use one). Your agency slug is the last part of that URL.

Add the trigger name & API token into Talentalk

Head to your Talentalk settings and scroll down to the "Loxo Integration" section. There you'll:

Paste the API token you generated in step 2.
Enter your agency slug from step 3.
Enter the trigger name you created in step 1.

Connect your LinkedIn account

At the top of your settings page is the section to connect external accounts. Click "Connect an external account".

You'll be prompted to connect either LinkedIn or WhatsApp – Talentalk supports both. Choose LinkedIn and follow the steps to connect. It works with LinkedIn Classic, Recruiter (including InMails) and Sales Navigator.
